Dear Friends,
It’s important to consider . . . are young people a problem to be solved? Or are they a gift to be shared?
This fundamental attitude greatly affects how our young people are treated by schools, social services, justice systems, and even the church. If young people are a problem, then control is emphasized. If young people are a gift, then enablement is our approach.
Catholic Youth Foundation USA funds opportunities that enable young people to develop their gifts: pastoral care activities, conference scholarships, chastity programs, and creative religious education approaches. CYFUSA also funds programs and strategies that utilize the gifts of young people: justice and service activities, vacation bible schools led by teens, and leadership programs.
Through your financial gifts CYFUSA works to assure a faithful future and to share the gifts of the young Catholic Church.
