Gifts of Cash for General Support

The most immediate way to support youth ministry efforts is by making a gift of cash by check or credit card. Your contribution will be used to provide youth with scholarships to attend youth ministry conferences and grants to fund parish and diocesan efforts..

 

Honor/Tribute Gifts

Making a donation to CYFUSA in honor of a loved one on their birthday, anniversary, holiday, or other occasion can be a wonderful gift. When you make a gift in honor of someone special, at your request, we will send a personalized acknowledgement to the recipient notifying them of your gift.

 

Memorial Gift

You may commemorate the life of a loved one with a gift to CYFUSA in their memory. When you make a memorial gift, we will notify the family that you have made a donation in the name of that special person.

 

Shepherd's Circle (Recurring Gift Club)

Join the Shepherd's Circle and commit to the future of the young Catholic church by making a monthly gift. As a member of the Shepherd's Circle, you may make safe and convenient monthly donations directly from your credit card. You will also receive special recognition in the CYFUSA annual report. A minimum monthly donation of $10.00 is required (and you may cancel at any time). Please call 202-636-3825, ext. 22 to make your gift.

 

Matching Gifts

You may double your gift if your employer matches charitable donations. Check with your human resources office to see if your company matches donations to charitable organizations like CYFUSA.

 

Endowment and Major Gifts

Your support may also be given to sustain larger efforts such as building a healthy endowment for CYFUSA. Endowment gifts will be placed in a special investment fund that will support the works of the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry and initiatives at the parish and diocesan levels in perpetuity. Major and endowment gifts may be pledged over a period of time (usually up to five years) allowing you to make a larger commitment.

 

Planned Gifts

Planned gifts are a way that you can make a gift larger than you thought possible. By carefully examining your giving potential with a financial professional, you may be able to give a wonderful gift while also receiving a tax advantage. Some examples of how you can support CYFUSA with a planned gift include:

Bequests – By making CYFUSA a beneficiary in your will, you will be leaving a lasting legacy. Please contact us for sample bequest language that you can use to make a gift.

Gifts of Life Insurance and Retirement Plan Assets – By naming CYFUSA as a beneficiary of your life insurance plan or retirement plan, you can give assets that will not impact you now. Consult a financial advisor about the tax advantages.
