2011 Annual Grant Recipients

In January 2011, the CYFUSA Board of Directors awarded over $22,600 for a variety of projects supporting youth ministry, including:

  • Youth Leadership and Social Justice Training Program, St. Jude Catholic Church, Las Cruces, New Mexico
  • Youth Leadership Camp, Diocese of Memphis, Memphis
  • New Evangelization Week (N.E.W.), Diocese of Portland, Portland, Maine
  • Transforming Adolescent Catechesis Resources, Partnership for Adolescent Catechesis, Washington, D.C.
  • TEC Team Webinar Training, TEC Conference, St. Louis
  • Ridgeview Ministry, Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, Denver

Continuing to Make Youth Ministry a Reality for Gulf Coast Teens

CYFUSA is still helping youth ministry programs rebuild in the Gulf Coast following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

At the Board of Directors meeting in January 2010, the Board allocated $2,500 to the Diocese of Beaumont for their Diocesan Youth Quest Retreat.

In the fall of 2010 the board approved additional grant allocations of $1,000 to each of the following dioceses who are still in recovery and rebuilding from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita:

  • Archdiocese of New Orleans
  • Diocese of Baton Rouge
  • Diocese of Beaumont
  • Diocese of Biloxi
  • Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux
  • Diocese of Lake Charles
  • Diocese of Lafayette
  • Diocese of Mobile
