Applying for a Scholarship

Catholic Youth Foundation USA is pleased to be able to offer the following scholarships to attendees of the 2008 National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry being held in Cleveland, Ohio, December 4-7, 2008. Forms for each scholarship are below.

 

The Sr. Thea Bowman Scholarship

A Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration, Sr. Thea Bowman lived life with hope, love, and justice. She was a tireless advocate, consistently educating and preaching about the need to break down racial and cultural barriers. Her lively presentations combined singing, gospel preaching, prayer, and storytelling, always inspiring people to live deeply the Catholic values of justice and peace. This scholarship, in the amount of $750, is given to assist one multicultural member of the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry to attend the National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry (NCCYM). The Mary Jean Hart Memorial Scholarship

Mary Jean Hart was a past chairperson of the National Catholic Committee for Girl Scouts and Camp Fire (NCCGSCF). She represented the Camp Fire Agape program for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia through the transition from the NCYOF to the NFCYM more than twenty years ago. This scholarship, in the amount of $750, is given to assist one adult Girl Scout or Camp Fire leader to attend the National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry (NCCYM). Deadline Date: July 1, 2008

Regional Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships for the NCCYM registration fee are available. Requests for regional scholarships are due to the regional contacts by August 15, 2008.
